They stood panting in the vast muddy field, bloody and wounded. Rain poured down on her face, hurting her eyes yet she remained unblinking. Blood stained the ground, blood as crimson as his eyes swirling with fear and confusion as he stared down the steel barrel that was pointing at his head.
One pull would end him forever, she would never hear his voice or feel his touch ever again, tears welled up in her eyes at the thought. "Li-Lila" was all he could say as her tears spilled over, her body shaking. "I c-can't" she said before collapsing on the ground. muddy water splashed her wounded body.
He stood there for a moment, trying to take what had happened, soon she saw was him rushing tword her. He looked at her and what he had done to the woman he loved. "n-no!" he screamed as tears streamed down his face, mixing with the rain.
He heard a hoarse whisper "i'll....live" she said before her last shred of consciousness slipped away. He looked down and spoke with his heart.
